Astroparticles and Cosmology

This group studies the theory of particles and their interactions in astrophysical and cosmological settings. Many things can be learned about particle properties in these settings because in these media one has processes that are suppressed in the laboratory, or at least occur differently. In particular, we are interested in: axion physics (cosmological, astrophysical and laboratory), neutrinos (atmospherical and solar), phase transitions in the early universe, dark matter and, of course, dark energy.
